I'm back!! I could not be more excited to start this blog back up with even more bigger and better features! Giveaways, inspiration, mommy rambling and REVIEWS!! If you know me at all (which most of you don't) I love trying new places and healthy products!! So I will be sharing my weekly coffee adventures with you to get this really going!!
So- lets start with last week for your weekly dose of #coffeecorner!! Every Friday a friend and I meet at a new local coffee spot to check it out and get some girl time (fun right?!). Last week we checked out a newer local joint Java Punk Coffee! And yes, as if the name and logo doesn't tell you enough about this funky joint lets talk a little about it.
I love when we go to places that has enough hidden coves to keep us in the scene but also allows my one year old to play around us! So if you are looking for a spot like that; check.it.out. It is HUGE inside and has a lovely front patio if you enjoy the great outdoors like we do. BUT if that's not your thing don't let me scare you away; there's also room for large groups (like the wedding party that was there when we were) and MAGNETIC games like scrabble on the walls for fun times! Also note that they had several other games listed that I have NO CLUE what they were but I am sure would be loads of fun anyone to nerd out on!
Now by this point you're probably wonder about the coffee? Fantastic! I was worried walking in and looking at the menu cause I am more of a black coffee drinkers and man did these options sound SWEET! But the point of this is to get out of my comfort zone right? So I went all in and tried their "Baker Street" coffee. Lets just read you what this is....
"Baker Street: Dark chocolate mocha with Butter Pecan, Caramel & Coconut Syrup"
Wow. Not going to lie the coconut is was drew me into getting this one (i'm a sucker) but I am glad I did. Almond milk and this funky concoction made for a pleasant semi sweet drink despite the description. Has anyone tried Oat Milk?! They have it...said it's the closed dairy alternative to cream...would love to hear stories if you've had it!
What's coffee without food? We checked out their veggie quiche and it was pretty good and did make me cheat on my food allergies (system currently regretting that decision) but honestly for me the simple pleasure of the sourdough bread with butter toasted PERFECTLY sitting next to my quiche is what stole the show for me- maybe it's because I never have butter?! Regardless it was delicious and you need to go try some.
SO if you are ever in the neighborhood of Tutt and Stetson Hills in Colorado Springs give Java Punk a shot! Share with me what you thought; I love to hear from you!
Visit their site (http://www.javapunk.coffee/ ) and give them a like on their media outlets! As always; supporting small & local is just what we do. Until next time!
